The Challenge
Project locations don’t come much more special than this. We were approached by
our client to provide a small service elevator, to serve between 3 levels at a
spectacular lake front property in Zug, Switzerland.
The Lift
The brief was to supply and fit a lift capable of transporting food between the floors,
within a hygienic stainless-steel car, whilst supplying door fronts that would blend in
with the surroundings of each level.
We supplied a 20kg service lift within its own self-supporting galvanised steel
structure with a stainless-steel car and stainless-steel hinged landing doors. Due to
headroom constraints at the top floor, we opted for a bottom driven system allowing
us to have the motor and control panel at lowest level within the kitchen area rather
than having this within the living quarters. This also allowed us to fit the top-level
landing door at the correct height and not be restricted by the headroom.
We worked closely with the designers on the project to fit facades in front of each
landing door to disguise the lift entirely.
The Result
The end result as you will see from the images is outstanding. Having the
opportunity to work on a project such as this was a privilege and a great opportunity
for us to showcase what we can do as a business.
